The Bakery Room was founded by Tom Zafeiropoulos and Antonis Tertiropoulos with one idea: bring real Greek baking to the city that deserves it most. Not a trendy imitation — the real thing. Recipes that take time, skill, and a deep respect for where they come from. We're a bakery, a café, and a patisserie all under one roof, and we've made our home on 55th Street.
From the morning koulouri that started our day back home to afternoon moussaka and evening baklava — everything we serve is made with care. Greek pies, breakfast pastries, hearty meals, house-made cookies, and a patisserie case that'll make your decision very difficult. We think that's a good problem to have.
We're at 122 East 55th Street, right in the middle of Midtown — a quick walk from Grand Central, easy to reach, impossible to miss once you smell the baking. Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm. Weekends, 8am to 5pm. We'll have something warm waiting.
